Jan’s Chocolate Chip Cake

My friend Jan brought me this cake when Caroline was born 17 years ago. It’s been a staple dessert in my house ever since. It is so moist and goes great with coffee or a cold glass of milk. What doesn’t go with coffee??

  • 1 Duncan Hines Butter Yellow Cake mix
  • 1 small package instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 bar German's sweet chocolate melted (the green box)
  • 6 oz. package semisweet chocolate chips

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 bar German's sweet chocolate melted (the green box)
  • 6 oz. package semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all but chocolate chips - beat for 4-5 minutes on medium speed.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Put in a greased bundt pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
