Boy, if there was ever a fudge sauce that deserves to be eaten by the spoonful, this is it in my opinion. My friend Kimberly gave me this years ago and I’ve given it away as little Christmas presents in the past. I make a huge batch of it and pour into Mason jars and tie with pretty ribbon. I’d show a sample of it, but it all got eaten before a picture could be taken!
super fudge sauce
1 cup butter
1/4 t salt
2 cups heavy whipping cream
4 t vanilla
2 cups sugar
2 t instant coffee
2/3 cup cocoa
Melt butter in large stock pot. Stir in sugar, salt, coffee and cocoa. Once blended, add whipping cream. Bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
My guess is this batch would fill about 6-8 regular sized Mason jars.
**Scoop Blue Bell peppermint ice cream in a martini glass and pour warm fudge sauce over. It makes a beautiful dessert!
